Map service GIS GUIDE
Want to introduce Habra public map service the GIS GUIDE created by me 2 years ago that I'm constantly trying to develop.

Developed a service-based maps for GPS navigators are created different projects and data from OpenStreetMap.
It all started with the fact that my friends and I became interested a few years ago with the creation of GPS navigation map of the city of Chita (where we live) and then a map of our region. Later I came up with the idea to create a website on which to display our map, where users could see the results of our activities and to help in filling the card address data of settlements, which are hard to find, especially small towns. After six months of hard work we launched born to us service GIS GUIDE (guide to the city information systems). Further, its geographic coverage has been growing at the expense of cards such as "naisisili" as we from other regions (Amur region, the Vologda region, Jewish Autonomous district, Kaliningrad region, Komi Republic, Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai), and to cover the whole of Russia was taken in the missing regions from the OpenStreetMap project.
Will tell you a little bit on what it works. As the engine generating raster images (tiles) we chose the MapServer, based on it was created by the WMS server. For web interface displaying the generated tiles were used a wonderful js library OpenLayers.
Initially the service only display maps, but then I started to give him extra, in my opinion interesting features such as: address assignment home, assignment of a street name, adding the link to the current location on the map, a link to a specific address, distance measurement, route, weather layer, a photo layer and a layer of online users, which shows on a map the location of users on the site. The data received from the user, are sent to the Participants to adjust their maps, if the data belong to the regions is taken from OpenStreetMap, the data entered by us on the maps of the OpenStreetMap project. That's the mutual assistance happened.
Recently I decided to tie organizations from 2GIS, to our map using their API, which was very good.
As an experiment, I decided to completely replace the standard Popup (pop-up, white, information balun) is generated by the methods of OpenLayers on his own, which could be moved to the side, if it obstructs the view of the area as we did you can see for example, clicking on the building.
Now create the API that allows to embed the map on any site.
Currently, the GIS GUIDE has some performance issues due to weak servers, which will be resolved in the near future moving to a new server, and there are still many ideas for further development.
But I'd still like to hear from abrowser opinion about the usefulness of GIS-GUIDE, your ideas for possible development, to obtain valuable advice (constructive criticism is of course also necessary).
