Bitly announces Realtime search service

Known resource link shortening Bitly has announced an interesting service search most popular materials among the content posted by private users. Of course, the search is conducted on the links, placed manually, and the links that leave different kinds of services working with Bitly. Currently, Realtime is in the stage of closed beta, allowing users to filter search by key, theme, social resources and so on. Announcing the picture shows the possibilities of Realtime.

As you can see, the service works not 100% correctly (or what makes the news about Mac OS search results for start-UPS?). But the new service is really interesting, because through him are hundreds of thousands of links, and popular links can show situational picture of trends on a particular topic.

Bitly has decided to move away from pure link shortening service, and added there is only a search engine. But in the future may be developed and other modservice that will enhance the functionality of your primary resource. By the way, not so long ago, Bitly has received additional investment from Khosla Ventures. In may, the resource has updated the design and started to move in the direction of social bookmarking, not purely sokraschatelya links.

It seems that Bitly wants to be something more than a link shortening service, and all of these updates/additions really help to achieve this goal. Back in October of last year, Bitly launched a beta version of social search engine for corporate users. Now we see an interesting search service for all, and this service is absolutely free.
